My Story
Having Graduated from Temasek Poly I went straight into Shipping as a trade executive. As a trade executive, I had to ensure smooth operation, quote rates to different counter part in South East Asia, and ultimately a positive profit every cycle.
Further down 2 years, I felt that I would like to broaden my horizon so I went overseas to Brisbane Australia to further my studies and obtain my bachelor of International Business in the University of Queensland. During the course of my studies, I had to work with a local Australians, fellow Singaporeans as well as students from Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.
Upon returning to Singapore, I joined General Electric Company in Trade Management and had the opportunity of running the annual trade conference to GE’s trade consortium and while in this role… again I had to interact with different counterparts local and overseas consortium partners which enhanced my management and communication skills.
Due to limitation in the career path in GE, I subsequently rejoined the container shipping industry and was promoted to Senior Trade Executive… However, in 2010, little did I know that what started as “accompanying” friend to take the real estate license would be my career for the coming decade and more. I made the switch from at least “part time” Real Estate agent to full time after getting married in 2011. I made a leap as I want more flexibility in my work schedule and to have a better work life balance and have since enjoyed very bit of my journey in assisting my friends, family and client with their property needs. I am also grateful for the 8 years in the corporate world that helped me developed communication skill and liaising skill amongst others which helped me in understanding my clients needs and wants. I could often also relate to clients as well, having gone through “the single” phase and experiencing the fear of committing and getting into a marriage whilst considering what could be the 1st property. Lastly I am also a proud owner of my 1st private property in D09.
I hope to add value to as many people as I regard real estate my lifelong career.

Nonetheless, I showed Kenny & Alice the listing and explained that its on the 19th floor and they agreed to my plan on proceeding to work on negotiating the prices downwards for both units to see how the prices compare before they make the final decision.
Kenny & Alice also deliberated further and told me that they would prefer to go with the 19th floor unit as it has an unblocked view from one side (if I was able to negotiate the price within their budget) Hearing this, I did my best and did manage to secure the unit within the price they had in mind (which was $30k down from the asking price). However, as it was during the lockdown, it wasn’t possible to actually see the unit in person and they had to rely on the video and photos to make a decision which were a little unsettling. So they wanted to wait for the restriction to be lifted to view the unit before sealing the deal. I then advised that it would be better to seal the deal before the restrictions were lifted as there will be pent up demand once restrictions were lifted and there will be more competition (as many other groups are waiting to view) and prices will be raised too.
Kenny and Alice took my advice and we sealed the deal 1 day before restrictions were lifted. Kenny and Alice have finished their renovations and is very happy with their house. They have sent me some photos of their house and I am very delighted that I was able to help them.

I met Kenny and Alice when they came to view one of my listings for sale. Back then, while they do like the house, they were at their initial stages of house hunting & research and wasn’t ready to commit to anything. While the meeting was brief, we chatted for the love of old school terrazzo tiles, a little on the purchase progress and parted ways.
Little did I expect that 4months later, I received a call from Kenny saying that he would like to explore engaging my services to purchase a property. Kenny briefly mentioned that they have actually shortlisted a unit on the 16th floor but were unsure on how and what to do in terms of paperwork and the procedure. I then suggested that we set up a zoom meeting (as it was during circuit breaker lockdown) to go through the process and what to look out for before kick starting the process.
After clearing their doubts during the process as well as going through the financials, we were good to go. Kenny then later sent me the listing they were looking at which was on the 16th floor. While they were ready to negotiate and move forward with this unit, I wanted to do another round of research if there were other listings / units for them to consider.
The following day, I found a unit on a higher floor but the asking price was on the high side and needed to be negotiated down..
